We love the Eglin Golf Club restaurant! This is where we have had our company party for five years now. They outdid themselves this year and made an amazing spread of food. Everything we asked for, we received. Their staff was friendly and accommodating and so very hard working, which is the reason why we keep returning every year. Definitely recommend partying there or just having a simple meal. You won't be disappointed.
This place use to be in great shape. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens are all in VERY POOR condition. I would even mention the roughs too however in most cases you can’t tell where one stops and the other begins. The layout is good and the staff is friendly and professional. My only complaint is both courses condition. It’s by far the worse I’ve ever witness. Photos of landscapes can’t show its true condition
The guy at the front desk was not very friendly or helpful, and he acted a bit standoffish. The clubs we got where badly damaged and didn't even have all the clubs in the bag and the lady we asked about it basically said "yeah, that's just how it is idk what to tell you". The course itself wasn't too bad. It was bigger than I expected which was good but its not laid out the best. Not TOO terrible overall though. There was a good bit of tree debris around due to the storm that just passed through. However, for the most part, it was a pretty clean course. If you're looking for an inexpensive place to golf, this could be your spot, but if you're used to a certain standard, of course, this might not be for you. It is run by the military after all. Also, the driving range netting is damaged, so they don't allow anything other than Irons, which was a major disappointment.
Probably was hoping for better shape considering the price. Have played many AF courses and this ranks near bottom. Was not worth $55. Very few people on course. I know why! Greens were non existent
Course is in very good condition. Will definitely play again several more times. Great clubhouse and staff. Will go to the restaurant next time.
Enjoyed this course. Pretty challenging. During COVID they gave us a cart each. Great price. Well looked after greens and fairways with many impassable hazards.
Reasonably priced 18 hole golf course. The history of the place is a great story shared by the gentleman in the golf shop.
